About IET
IET – Instituto Empresarial do Tâmega is a private, non-profit association with a scientific and technical mission. It was born from the collective will of a group of institutional, business, and competitiveness support entities, with the aim of fostering entrepreneurial spirit and innovation in northern Portugal, particularly in the Tâmega and Sousa region.
Internally, we are committed to creating an inspiring work environment where our team members can grow, thrive, and contribute to the region’s innovation and socio-economic development.
About the CEI Project
The CEI 11 Hub project aims to promote, support, and encourage social innovation and impact entrepreneurship by bringing together ideas, people, organisations, and resources in synergy. This enables the creation, development, and sustainability of socially impactful projects in the Douro, Tâmega, and Sousa region.
With a dual focus on local social institutions and vulnerable groups—particularly long-term unemployed women and NEET youth—the initiative will deliver, over 36 months, a wide range of activities, including incubation and acceleration programmes, bootcamps, mentoring, consultancy, networking, competitions, and other training and awareness actions. These are designed to encourage the development of projects that address local social needs and empower the community as agents of change.
This initiative offers an integrated approach to generating positive and sustainable social impact by promoting a culture of impact entrepreneurship and encouraging philanthropy within both the business and social sectors, through the creation of networks with local organisations.
